CREW ALUMNI

 

Each of the Changing Tides (CT) Crew Alumni has played an integral role in helping CT become what it is today. While we will miss their direct participation with the Crew, we are excited to see them pursue their educational and vocational goals!

 

Teryn Hara (she/her/hers)

2018-2019

Teryn was one of the original CT Crew Members when it was founded in 2018. She graduated from UCLA in 2015 and received her Master's in Social Work in 2018. Teryn currently works for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health as a Psychiatric Social Worker.

 

Moet Kurakata (she/her/hers)

2018-2020

Moet was on the CT Crew from 2018-2020. She graduated from UCLA in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology and a minor in Cognitive Science. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science in Nursing at UC Irvine.

Max Kaito (he/him/his)

2018-2020

Max was an original CT Crew Member and continued to serve on the Crew until 2020. He graduated from UCLA in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Classical Civilizations. He currently resides in Florida and is pursuing a medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Allopathic Medicine. 

 

Reine Nakamura (she/her/hers)

2020-2021

Reine joined as the CT Outreach Coordinator in early 2020 and served on the Crew through Summer 2021. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from UCLA in 2019 and currently works as a Growth Marketing Coordinator in DTLA.

Courtlyn Shimada (she/her/hers)

2018-2020

Courtlyn was a founding Crew Member from 2018 to 2020. She double-majored in Psychology and Communications at UCLA and graduated in 2017. She currently lives in New York City, New York, and is pursuing her Master of Social Work at Columbia University.
