Changing Tides 2021: Gratitude

The third annual Changing Tides event, Gratitude, took place on November 28, 2021 at the seaside estate of Carolyn Elliott. The event was created to increase awareness of mental health in the Japanese American and Asian American communities, and to help raise money for Changing Tides' future mental health programming and events. About 150 adults and youth from the Asian American communities, including attendance from several prominent figures, attended the inaugural event. The afternoon featured personal stories from Kyle Yamashiro and Courtlyn Shimada, speech from Dr. Tim Fong, a musical performance and speech from Chet Oshima, and catering by Katsuya. To all those who attended and participated in this year’s event - thank you for continuing to help us change the tides!
